Just place bottle top between the handles and squeeze to hold steady. Then depress the lever to insert the worm screw into the cork... lift lever and the cork is extracted, cleanly and precisely. Remove the bottle and close the handles down over the remaining cork and repeat the lever operation to remove the cork from the corkscrew.
